Fall is officially here!
August’s existing home sales nationwide were on par with July’s, but down nearly by 20% from August 2021 to 4.80 million as reported by the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
The median existing home sales price was $389,500, up nearly 8% from August 2021 (NAR). Existing homes that sold in August went pending in just 16 days, up two days from July 2022 (NAR).
Sales of newly built single-family homes in August jumped 28.8% from July, and were essentially even from one year ago. (US Census).
